#8 XbotGo - AI-Powered and Auto-Tracking Camera System for Sports (Marketing)

XbotGo, a brand under Blink Tech, uses AI and smart hardware to make hands-free, auto-tracking sports filming accessible to families, teams, and creators.

My Role
As a part-time marketer, I need to support global TikTok influencer outreach, brand storytelling, and social media. Based in Canada, I also need to lead local filming, club partnerships, and event support—especially during hockey season.

About XbotGo

Founded by former Amazon engineer David Tan, XbotGo is an AI sports tech brand under Blink Tech. It offers hands-free, auto-tracking camera solutions powered by AI vision, making high-quality sports filming easy and accessible for families, youth teams, coaches, and creators.

My Role

I joined XbotGo as a part-time marketer, working directly with the marketing lead to strengthen our presence across global social platforms. My core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Expanding influencer partnerships on TikTok through strategic sponsorships and collaborations

  • Enhancing the brand story to connect emotionally with Gen Z and family-focused audiences

  • Managing social media operations, creating engaging, localized content

  • Acting as the only marketing team member based in Canada, I also support

    • On-the-ground sports video production using XbotGo products

    • Hosting and assisting in promotional events and local club partnerships, especially during hockey season

My role blends digital strategy with local execution, helping XbotGo grow its Canadian footprint while staying connected to global campaigns.
 

I’ve gradually started picking up responsibilities and look forward to contributing more in the months.

Built and maintained relationships with 200+ U.S. technology media outlets, resulting in top-tier journalists voluntarily covering our product at CES (Consumer Electronics Show), generating unpaid interviews, filming, and media reports.

While supporting XbotGo’s expansion in North America, I researched and initiated contact with ASTRSK PR, a New York–based agency specializing in consumer tech and DTC brand communications.

The firm has worked with brands such as Squarespace, ClassPass, Grailed, Frank And Oak, Prime Video, and Lightricks, and maintains strong relationships with outlets including Fast Company, TechCrunch, and Forbes.

Although the collaboration was not ultimately pursued due to shifting priorities, the process enabled me to establish connections within the North American tech PR ecosystem and explore potential media and partnership channels for future growth.
